A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati

December 11, 2019 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. Leave a Comment

Christmastime is here! And if I could sum up this review of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas in one sentence, I’d say: Get up off your couch and GO SEE THIS SHOW! No, really, it’s a must-see for all ages.

The Christmas season is heavily upon us and there’s nothing more magical than making memories with your family and loved ones during this very busy time. And one of those Christmas memories should be going to The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati to see this adorable performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Fun fact: Did you know The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is the longest running children’s theatre in the nation?! And it’s right here in YOUR city!

A Charlie Brown Christmas

I’ll admit, my entire drive to the theatre I was telling my husband how worried I was that this classic Charlie Brown show would be ruined or different on stage. But, from the first second the lights were dimmed, I was proven very wrong. The characters, music, jokes, mannerisms, even the way the characters walked was as sweet and charming as the actual show. The nostalgia overtook me and I even cried–it was that breathtaking. The performance held strong to everything that was memorable and meaningful about the classic TV show.

And Snoopy? HILARIOUS! There were so many laugh out loud moments with that adorable dog! Another fun fact: Bob Herzog-yes, the news anchor from Local 12 Good Morning Cincinnati-plays Snoopy and he is fantastic! Snoopy alone is worth going to see the show!

In short, please take some time this holiday season to go with your family to The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati to see A Charlie Brown Christmas and I promise you, you will all leave feeling happier and more in the spirit than ever before! From the Peanuts Gang to the live orchestra to the surprise ending–you will be delighted from start to finish!

Tickets to upcoming performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas are still available-so don’t wait! Performances will run December 13-15 and you can buy your tickets HERE!
