Once Upon A Potty-Boy (or Once Upon A Potty-Girl) by Alana Frankel is one of the most popular potty books on the market. It’s simple and to the point. With a book geared toward each gender, the book directly relates to the child, making the potty training process easy to understand.

Potty Superhero by Parragon Books is the perfect board book for your little superhero make his journey toward wearing big boy undies! The cover is interactive in that you can feel the boy’s underwear, making it more realistic and relatable.

Where’s The Poop by Julie Markes is a fun and engaging lift-the-flap book that shows children that everyone has a place to poop: tigers in the jungle, monkeys in the rain forest, or kangaroos in the outback. Give your child the confidence to know that they have a place to poop, too!

The Perfect Potty Zoo by Agnes Green is not just any ordinary potty book. It has 26 different potty situations using animals from A-Z. It’s silly, funny, beautifully illustrated, and very engaging!

Time To Pee by Mo Willems is the perfect potty book for any Mo Willems fan! It’s written in his signature style, and encourages children gently through each step of potty training with his witty humor. Children will be amused by this engaging book.

It Hurts When I Poop! by Howard J. Bennett is a great book for children who are scared to use the potty. My son had so much fear using the potty, especially when it came to pooping, and this book really helped him. It’s a great book that explains what’s happening in the body, and how different foods can make using the potty easy or hard.

Bloop, Bloop Goes The Poop by Tamara Moore is a fun book that uses sound to help little Tommy know how to stop the rumbles in his tummy!

Potty by Leslie Patricelli is HILARIOUS! Your child will definitely be shouting out responses as you read this book. The main character is a gender-less baby and she/he explores whether or not to use the potty. The story walks through the sequence of using the potty and then at the end-a picture of delight when baby uses the potty independently. This is a great potty training starter book.

Big Boy Underpants by Fran Manushkin offers a light, positive approach to motivate little boys to become toilet-trained. Snappy, rhyming text and bright, quirky illustrations sound the perfect note to encourage toddlers who want to wear big boy underpants.

Big Girl Panties by Fran Manushkin is the counterpart to Big Boy Underpants. What could be more rewarding for a little girl than wearing big girl panties, just like mommy? Adult caregivers and toddlers alike will love the snappy, rhyming text and colorful, hip illustrations.

I hope these books help your little one with their transition to potty training!
