Children’s Book Week-Monday

May 4, 2015 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. 1 Comment

This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year! It’s Children’s Book Week! This holiday is a national literacy initiative to celebrate all of the wonderful books that have been written for young children!

Many of you already know about my love of reading, but in case you’re new here, guess what? I LOVE READING! 🙂 In fact, it’s what I got my M.Ed. in from University of Missouri (yes, Go Mizzou!)

Ok, so this week, I’m pumped because I get to share my favorite children books with all of you! Each day I’ll showcase a new book, give a quick synopsis of the book, and include a link so you can purchase the book if you don’t already have it.

There are so many AMAZING books out there, how can I seriously just pick 5? I’ll try my best!

I don’t remember my mom reading me books, but I do love to read. I read the Beverly Cleary books when I was younger and then moved on to Sweet Valley High books.
The day I found out I was pregnant I started reading to my daughters, they are 5 and 7 and can not get enough of books.
