It’s Back to School time. That thought alone makes me shudder in more ways that one. But mostly because it’s time to pack those lunchboxes. Packing lunches may no be your favorite part of school either. Maybe you have a school-age child who doesn’t want to eat in the cafeteria; our excuse is the long lines. Or maybe you have a preschooler who must have a packed lunch. Either way, these 30 Easy Lunchbox Ideas for Kids will hopefully make your packing experience more fun and easier!

This school year, make a plan! You can print out a daily calendar and write down your lunchbox menu everyday, go grocery shopping for that week’s ingredients, and voila! Each morning, you’ll be packing like a pro!

  1. “School lunch” (a nickname my son and I came up with, no idea why): Veggie straws, cheese stick, raisins, nutrigrain bar
  2. Subway subs on hoagie buns with deli meat + cheese, bag of chips, apple
  3. Almond Butter + Jelly sandwich, cheese stick, banana
  4. Apple Quesadilla, fruit dip, cherry tomatoes, celery
  5. Grilled cheese sandwich, apple slices, raisins
  6. Cheese taco rollup, small round tortilla chips, salsa
  7. BLT sandwich on toast, grapes, potato chips
  8. Pizza Bento lunch, fruit, milk
  9. Spaghetti with butter and Parmesan cheese, slice of garlic bread, fruit
  10. Roast beef + cheddar pita, watermelon slices, raisins
  11. Bagel with cream cheese, cheese stick, veggie straws
  12. Cottage cheese, berries, graham crackers, snap peas
