Getting Ready For The First Day Of Preschool Books

July 31, 2015 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. 3 Comments

Is your little one getting ready to head off to their first day of Preschool? This can be a scary and nerve-wracking time for both your little one and YOU! Your sweet baby has been with you since the day they were born, and now they are venturing off to “school” world!

As a mom who went through this myself, I totally get your worries. “Will he be well taken care of?” “Will he be scared?” “Will he cry when I drop him off?” “Should I even do this?”

As much as we worry, our future preschoolers are worrying too. Going to a new environment and not knowing what to expect can be overwhelming for such a little guy. Or maybe your little one is super excited!

Either way your child feels, here are some first day of preschool books to help get your child ready for their big day! These books are geared toward preschool, and will give them a clearer picture of what it will be like. There are also some books that will show them it’s ok to miss mommy {and daddy}, and it’s ok to be worried.

    Hi Erica,
Here is another book for the first day of preschool. It’s a customizable photo book that I think you will be interested in (especially since you have a MEd and understand child development). https://www.etsy.com/listing/236653350/you-go-to-school-childrens-book-to-ease?ref=shop_home_active_3

Thanks for the suggestions. My toddler is starting preschool in a month so I will have to try some of these books. I got a bunch of starting school books but never thought about preschool-specific ones!
