Spokester Bicycle Noisemaker {Review}

August 6, 2015 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. Leave a Comment

I am so excited to tell you about a super awesome new toy that I recently found! It’s the Spokester Bicycle Noisemaker, and it’s totally rad!

Riding bikes is such an integral part of childhood, and I vividly remember my long bike rides around the neighborhood with my friends until the street lamps came on!

Well, I have a sweet, cautious 7 year old boy, who doesn’t really enjoy riding his bike. He’s scared of falling and he feels like he’ll never master balancing his bike like a master. His bike just sits in the garage and collects cobwebs. He even tells me he’s more of “a scooter kid.”

Well, when the creator of Spokester contacted me and asked me to review his awesome bike noisemaker, I thought, “This could change the way M rides his bike!” And since we tried it and loved it, I couldn’t NOT share this awesome toy with my readers!

Yes, I did get sent a Spokester for free and was compensated for my review, but that doesn’t change how I feel about the Spokester. I love sharing new products with my readers. All opinions are my own and do not reflect Spokester.

Ok, so I immediately opened my Spokester and the first thing I noticed was how cool the packaging was. It’s very old school and simple, but not in a bad way. Simple in a good ol’ days way.

Spokester comes in 5 fun colors, although I do wish that pink, yellow, or purple were offered for girls. (Don’t attack me, I know girls can like red and blue too, but I’m a girl and I’d rather purple).

We immediately opened our Spokester and ran outside to put it on M’s bike. As soon as I told him how it makes your bike sound like a motorcycle, he was very curious. Now, here’s the part of the review I hate to share. Spokester says on their website that it’s easy to install. I didn’t find that to be the case. It was extremely hard for me to snap on his bike, so I called my neighbor over and she couldn’t get it either. Maybe it’s because we’re 2 tired stay-at-home moms, but I had to wait until my husband got home to install it. Bummer.

Now, Daddy got home from work and saved the day! And guess what? M loved it! He was zooming all around the cul-de-sac with his bike. He loved how it gave him the engine roar.

@SpokesterBike turns your bike into a motorcycle and now you’re the coolest kid on the block. Super rad bike toy! Review by @elemenopkids

Here are some of the things I loved about the Spokester:

It’s durable! Made of super strong plastic!

It makes riding bikes fun!

It helps me hear where my kid and his bike are!

It’s inexpensive!

It’s easier than sticking playing cards in the spokes!

We really do love our Spokester toy, and the neighborhood kids were all asking where we got it from, which made M feel super cool.

What I’m most grateful for is that the Spokester put the love of bike riding in M’s world. He doesn’t choose to ride his bike all the time, but he does ride it more now because he loves the “engine sound” it gives off.

Watch M in action with his new Spokester!

This would be such a fun toy to give as a birthday gift, stocking stuffer, or a reward for a good report card!
