July 29, 2014 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. 2 Comments

In case you don’t know much about me, I have a 6 year old Pirate living in my house! He has the full pirate costume and even sleeps in a pirate room! So, it’s only fitting that for this month’s theme, together we chose HIS favorite pirate books! So without further ado matey’s, let’s walk the plank!
For this theme, we put together a kids book list of our most favorite pirate books for preschoolers. These books would be perfect for any pirate lover to read, or would make a great gift for a birthday! I’m a huge fan of giving books as birthday gifts!

These books will take you on pirate adventures on the open seas, teach you how to talk like a pirate, and you’ll even learn that pirates don’t brush their teeth! Yuck!

What a good collection of pirate books! Our library did not have most of these but I think I will be pinning this for the future. I really like the look of The Pirates Next Door and we may need There Was An Old Pirate Who Swallowed A Fish to add to our collection of books that use that song. – Lori H
