Zoo Scavenger Hunt Printable

July 23, 2015 By Erica Leggiero, M.S. Ed. 12 Comments

The zoo is always such a fun place to go! It’s the perfect field trip to take your preschoolers on, and is full of wonderful conversations to be had and vocabulary to be learned!

To help your child identify animals and learn their names, I decided to create this Zoo Scavenger Hunt printable for you to download, print, and take with you on your next trip to the zoo. I even left space at the top of each animal to write their names if you wanted to.

This scavenger hunt is fun to do and provides a motivation to your preschooler for getting through the whole zoo!

What are some ways you can use this printable?

Print, laminate, and take to the zoo! Use a dry erase marker to draw a line through the box after the animal is found! Erase and take on your next zoo trip!

Point to the picture and have your child say the animal’s name! This is a great way to learn new vocabulary and engage in pre-reading fun!

Use plastic zoo animals to place on each squareโ€ฆlike a matching game!

Point to each animal and ask your preschooler to make the sound or movement that the animal makes.

As you can see, there are MANY ways you can use this fun zoo scavenger hunt printable!
